Calling all Riders and Parents,
Rain or Shine we will be meeting at Rye Airfield this Saturday as scheduled, 11 am. We are hoping that the weather will hold out for us, but in the event that it is raining, please report inside of Rye Airfield, on the second floor.
We will be holding our annual voting for the State Series Board Members for the 2010 Series, at this Saturdays Championship Event, October 23rd, as we have done for the past few years. The descriptions of the positions are listed below. It is open to everyone, no experience necessary, just dedication to the sport and the riders. If you are interested all you need to do is add your name to the ballot on Saturday to the position you would like to be voted for, it is that easy. The terms are all for one year. If you have any questions regarding the positions, the Board will be happy to answer all questions prior to voting.
OFFICERS:
The Board shall consist of the following officers: (1) Commissioner, (2) Competition Manager/State Clerk. (3) Secretary, (4) Treasurer.
SECTION 5
STATE RACE COMMISSIONER-Shall preside over the meetings and shall serve as the tie breaking vote should be necessary, may appoint committees and will define the duties of committees. The Commissioner shall be elected by the members at the Annual meeting. (See job description 1 in the Office NBL Track Operators Manual)
SECTION 6
COMPETITION MANAGER/STATE POINT KEEPER – The Competition Manager shall supervise the collection of points at State Events, handle any riders point protest and any other duties assigned by the Board. Will also assume the responsibilities of the President as described in Section 9.
SECTION 7
SECRETARY – The Secretary shall be the official recorder of the minutes of all meetings and be responsible for their timely distribution to members and maintain all other records as may be assigned by the Board. The Secretary also will be the second signature as well as the Treasurer on all New Hampshire checks.
SECTION 8
TREASURER – The Treasurer shall maintain the financial records of the organization establish and maintain the organization’s checking and/or savings account(s) disburse funds at the direction of the Commissioner and/or the Board and issue financial statements on a monthly basis to the Board.
SECTION 9
President – The president as nominated by the Commissioner and elected by the Board, in the absence of the Commissioner, perform all of the duties and have all the powers and perform such other duties as assigned to him/her by the Board. Upon the President’s permanent absence during a fiscal year, his/her position will be filled by the Competition Manager/State Point Keeper, until which time the Board can elect a new president by a majority vote of the Board.
